January Blues…?

In the past, my Dad said to me ‘plan your planning in for January, Sonja, it’s a quiet month and you will find yourself twiddling your thumbs.’

I think times have changed!

We have been blessed in the two years that we have had the gallery, to have busy Januarys, full of new challenges and excitement, and still have the opportunity to plan ahead. What a joy to be tasked with some of the work we have had in? Fishing floats, t-shirts, originals, glass plaques, precious items that deserve the very best. It truly has been amazing.

Add to that, planning new ideas for social media, making plans for the business, growing new connections and relationships and supporting those people we already know and love in the best way we can, we really feel very blessed. What we have now is a real community of artists and crafters who we can support and encourage. The gallery is swiftly becoming a fabulous hub of talent - almost every day now, I hear artists chatting about methods, techniques, highs and lows…what’s not to love?!

And now, we are in the midst of planning and Open Exhibition for Lutterworth and District Arts Society, as part of our town celebrating Love Lutterworth, throughout the month of February.

We have been lucky enough to be entrusted with setting up artistic events for families throughout the half term week, and to our delight, we are nearly fully booked already! This is one hub that we can already see, will be growing in the coming months.

Oh, and did I ever mention, we were in Panto as well? Oh, yes we were! So busy at work and busy at home…

January blues? Not a chance - January Joy, more like!
