FAQs

Do you stretch canvases?

Yes — we provide a professional canvas stretching service. We regularly help customers who return from holidays with original artwork on canvas that needs to be professionally stretched and prepared for display.

With years of experience in canvas stretching, we can accommodate artwork of all sizes, ensuring your canvas is tensioned correctly and finished to a high standard. No size is too large or too challenging for our experienced framers.

To complete your artwork, we also offer a beautiful selection of bespoke frames for stretched canvases, allowing you to enhance and preserve your piece and turn a special memory into a stunning feature for your home.

Can you frame sports shirts?

We specialise in bespoke sports shirt and memorabilia framing, and we love the challenge of framing unique and meaningful items. From football shirts and medals to signed memorabilia and keepsakes, we carefully secure each item to your chosen specification using professional, conservation-friendly techniques.

Once your item is safely mounted, we create a custom picture frame designed to complement both the piece and your interior, ensuring a striking and long-lasting finish. Our bespoke framing service transforms sports shirts and memorabilia into statement pieces — all you need to decide is where it will take pride of place on your wall.

How much will it cost?

The cost of bespoke picture framing can vary depending on your choice of frame moulding, mount options, glazing, and artwork size. With hundreds of frame styles available at different price points, we take the time to advise and guide you based on your budget, ensuring you receive the best possible result without compromise.

We use only high-quality wooden frame mouldings — never plastic or polymer frames — and take great pride in the craftsmanship of every piece we produce. Our experienced framers carefully create each bespoke frame in our workshop, and nothing leaves our studio unless it meets the same standard we would proudly display in our own home.

How long does it take to frame a picture?

We aim to complete all bespoke picture framing within two weeks from your initial visit to our workshop. From the moment you place your order, our experienced framers begin carefully crafting your custom frame to the highest standard.

If you need your artwork framed more quickly, we also offer a fast-turnaround picture framing service, subject to stock availability. Whenever possible, we’re happy to accommodate urgent framing requests while maintaining the quality and care our work is known for.

My picture fell off the wall recently and the glass broke. Can you replace it for me?

We offer a wide range of picture framing glass options to suit every artwork, style, and budget. From lightweight acrylic glazing to museum-quality glass, we stock high-quality solutions designed to protect and enhance your artwork.

Our experienced team is always happy to advise on the best framing glass, whether you’re looking for UV protection, reduced glare, or conservation-grade presentation. Simply ask our friendly staff, and we’ll help you choose the ideal option for your piece.

How can you promise you will protect the art I have invested in with the framing you do?

We pride ourselves on using pH-neutral, conservation-grade mountboards, tapes, and backing boards as standard for all original artwork. These archival materials are designed to protect artwork and reduce the risk of deterioration over time, ensuring your piece is preserved to the highest professional standard.

For added protection, we strongly recommend specialist framing glass for original artwork. We supply Art Glass, a premium glazing solution that is non-reflective, hard-wearing, and available with 70% or 99% UV protection. This high-performance glass enhances visibility while safeguarding artwork from light damage, making it an excellent choice for conservation framing.

Art Glass is an investment in the long-term care of your artwork — and one we confidently recommend for its quality, durability, and exceptional protective benefits.
