A FAMILY PASSION

The Lilypad Fine Art story began around 40 years ago, when my Dad, Eddie, set up his own business as a local picture framer and art gallery owner.

His business was a huge success. He became a Fine Art Trade Guild Commended Framer and was a runner-up in many framing competitions. His passion for framing had him writing articles in trade magazines. He and Jenny, his wife were highly regarded in the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire area for their expertise and passion for art.

Following his retirement in 2012, we really began to share the picture framing passion. In 2021, I set up in business on her own, working from a workshop in the garden. From there on in, Lilypad Fine Arts has grown in popularity amongst the local community and we are proud to serve each and every customer with the same passionate approach as my Dad.

In the Spring of 2024, my partner, Phil, joined the business, and we began working on a new venture of fine art printing. This has proven to be a fabulous addition to the business - we love nothing more than giving artists additional opportunities for sales, through scanning, post editing and printing on canvas, cards or any paper that the artist requests.

By October of 2024, we had set up a gallery in the heart of Lutterworth. All of the artwork and crafts for sale are created by Leicestershire based artists. We want this little space to be a calm haven for customers to come and chat, admire the artwork, choose frames, buy small gifts or cards for loved ones. We hold regular gallery exhibition evenings which are becoming increasingly popular.

We recently set up and support the work of LADAS - Lutterworth and District Arts Society, giving artists in the community opportunities for exhibiting, networking and sharing ideas.

In addition, we supply artists with a Drop Shipping service. The aim is to give artists the time and space to do what they do so well - create art, whilst we do the work of printing, framing, packaging and sending the finished products at within 48 hours of a customer’s order.

It is safe to say that our Lilypad Fine Arts family live and breathe art and want to share this passion with an ever-expanding audience.
