A FAMILY PASSION
Our story began when my dad, Eddie, established his business as a local picture framer and art gallery owner. His dedication to craftsmanship saw him become a Fine Art Trade Guild Commended Framer, a runner-up in numerous framing competitions, and a contributor to respected trade magazines. Alongside his wife, Jenny, he became highly regarded across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire for his expertise, professionalism, and passion for art.
Following his retirement in 2012, the passion for bespoke picture framing continued. In 2021, I launched Lilypad Fine Arts, working from a garden workshop and serving the local community with the same care and attention to detail that had defined my dad’s work. The business quickly grew in popularity, earning a reputation for high-quality framing and personalised service.
In spring 2024, my partner Phil joined the business, and we expanded our services to include professional fine art printing. This addition allows us to support artists through artwork scanning, post-editing, and giclée printing on canvas, cards, and a wide range of fine art papers—helping artists create new income streams through high-quality prints.
By October 2024, we opened our art gallery in the heart of Lutterworth, showcasing original artwork and handmade crafts by Leicestershire-based artists. Our gallery is designed as a calm, welcoming space where visitors can browse art, choose bespoke frames, purchase small gifts or cards, and enjoy regular gallery exhibitions and art events.
We are also proud to support the local creative community through our work with LADAS – Lutterworth and District Arts Society, helping artists access exhibition opportunities, networking, and creative collaboration.
In addition, we offer a drop-shipping service for artists, managing printing, framing, packaging, and dispatch within 48 hours of an online order. This allows artists to focus on creating art while we handle production and fulfilment.
At Lilypad Fine Arts, our family truly lives and breathes art. We are passionate about supporting artists, preserving craftsmanship, and sharing creativity with an ever-growing audience across Lutterworth, Leicestershire, and beyond.
