3 Week Drawing Course

Watercolour Landscapes and Skies
Suitable for age 16+
Part one of a two-week course.
This course is being run by local artist, Julia Milner, who has a wealth of experience in the world of art. She will take you on a journey in learning how to work with watercolour.
Each week, you will paint a new picture, working on skies and landscapes as your inspiration.
This course is £50 for the two sessions.
Wire and Button Flower Pictures
Appropriate for ages 16+
Join Toni Merriman from Bouton Bijou, and create your very own wire and button flower picture.
Toni will take you through the methods of working with wire to create beautiful images, and you will leave with a picture in a frame, that you will be able to treasure for years to come.

Felting a Highland Cow

Tuesday 26th May, 6.30pm-9pm.
We are excited to welcome local felting artist, Frances Cross, who will teach you how to make your very own felted Highland cow.
Even if you are a complete beginner, she will teach you step by step, the techniques of needle felting, and then you will be able to create something wonderful for your shelf!

Collage your own journal
Collage a beautiful cover for a notebook using a selection of papers, textiles, spangles and other ephemera to make your own personal journal.
All materials are provided, including an A6 blank notebook to cover, but you are welcome to bring little bits and pieces from your stash and small personal items to add to your design. You will also have the option to add hand stitching so there will be a selection of threads.
Abstract Mixed Media Workshop
EVENING SESSION FOR 16+
Come and work with esteemed local artist, Nigel Smith, who will take you on a journey in to abstract art.
Using a variety of media, including charcoal, oil pastels and watercolour, you will create a piece of art inspired by nature. It will suit the complete beginner and those looking to expand their artistic horizon, into more abstract styles.
All materials are provided, but if you would like to bring your own materials, that is also fine.

Collage Workshop
EVENING SESSION FOR 16+
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A 4-WEEK LONG COURSE - DATES ARE:
16th April, 23rd April, 30th April and 7th May, 7pm-9pm.
We are proud to welcome local collage artist, Julia Milner, who will teach you the art of collage.
Using animals as your inspiration, you will create a collage picture. Julia will guide and advise you on ways in which to approach colour and texture, and at the end of this four-week long course, you will have a picture to be proud of.
All materials are provided, but should you have any spare magazines that you would like to donate, we would be very grateful!
£50 per person for a 4-week long course.
Tetra Pak Printing
Come and join us for a fun workshop where you’ll craft beautiful butterfly art prints using sustainable etching techniques.
Claire Rumsby, local esteemed print artist will guide you through each stop, making sure you leave with a piece of art you can be proud of.
All materials will be provided, including butterfly outlines for the less creatively confident.
